At the level of the Mechelen-South exit on the E19 Brussels-Antwerp, Groep Bouwen purchased an undeveloped site of 20,000 m², previously the property of Dupont de Nemours. Most of it lies in an SME zone, plus a small part in residential zone. In the residential part, 5 building lots were subdivided and sold. On the industrial land, Tecro&Krea from Mechelen designed an SME park of 10,000 m², divided into lots of 300 to 400 m². Finally, the lots were sold to 8 SME´s for a minimum surface area of 300 m² and a maximum surface area of 2,000 m². In the meantime, all of the units have been delivered and commissioned. The most important buyers are the Mechelen-based New World, Baeckens Books, Babygoodies and SEBA Services from Humbeek.
